A journey through Milan's past
Historic Milan_
Milan has an archaeological past that can be observed in the sites that make up the Underground Milan, such as the Baptistery of San Giovanni alle Fonti, under the Duomo. Another important historical testimony is the Basilica of Sant’Ambrogio, the second church in Milan, built in the early Christian and Romanesque Lombard style. A visit to the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie cannot be missed to admire (by reservation) Leonardo's Last Supper! At the Navigli you can turn between streets and shops of the past for a walk in charming places such as Vicolo dei Lavandai. Finally, to get to know the people that made our city great, a visit to the Cimitero Monumentale with its sculptures and suggestive architecture is a must.
